Cold Air Intake (CAI)
Factory Air Intake systems and filters are designed to do two jobs – filter the incoming air but also reduce induction noise. Unfortunately in the majority of factory vehicles, the only way to do this is to restrict the air entering into the engine via baffling and convoluted intake paths.
Fitting a Cold Air Intake (CAI) allows the cooler ambient air from outside the hot engine bay to be directed into the engine increasing power output. An added bonus of a free flowing intake can be a noticeable increase in induction noise when under full throttle.
